  • All Games Interactive -The week of E3 has arrived and while the show has yet to open Sony has given us a peak into the future of their position in the gaming space with today's press conference. Have they further solidified themselves as the dominate force in gaming or does it look more like a misstep for the gaming juggernaut. You'll have to listen to find out. And with an event as big as E3 you know the family and fanboys have to come together. We have both Gamer Andy and crew as well as Orange Lounge Radio in house at the Arena Interactive Lounge to talk about the Sony press conference and what they are anticipating at E3. It's All Games Interactive and its just one click away.
  • GamerAndy Live - We followed AllGamesRadio's broadcast, which immediately followed the Sony's PS3 keynote press conference. Of course that means lot of discussion about the newly released details of the PS3, and maybe a few too many details about the all-nighter we pulled to get down here to E3. WARNING: This podcast includes gruesome details of John's hit-and-run murder of an innocent bunny wabbit. We also serve up a bunch of information we probably shouldn't know, much less talk about, that we discovered by wandering in places inside the convention center we probably shouldn't have.

Tuesday, May 9th

  • All Games Interactive - Microsoft wins, Nintendo holds it's own, and Sony loses. It's Tuesday of E3 week and there may be a shift on the horizon. Is there a new king in town or can looks be deceiving? They use to say that seeing is believing but Nintendo says now "playing=believing. Find out who we think is right. It's All Games Interactive and its just one click away.
  • GamerAndy Live - Episode 2 of our E3 podcast coverage! After a late start over at The E3 Outpost, we pumped out around two hours of commentary and phonecalls broadcast over on the Allgames network.

Wednesday, May 10th

  • Orange Lounge Radio - E3 2006 Special Wednesday edition, taped live at the E3 Outpost. DarkSakura, skie, LOKI and special guest Bobby Blackwolf each bring you three interesting thing found on the show floor on Wednesday. Discussions range from everything Wii to PS3 to XBOX 360 and much much more!
  • All Games Interactive - E3 is finally here and All Games Radio is out in full force! We have Scot Rubin, Bobby Blackwolf, and Lawrence Young all over the show floor giving you the their first impressions on everything E3 has to offer that can be absorbed in one day. Find out how Scot finesses himself into the Wii showing and what his first impressions were. Listen and learn why Bobby Blackwolf had to start today's show. Is the Playstation 3 $600 worth of machine? Lawrence Young gives you his honest opinion. It wouldn't be right to talk about all the new innovations in gaming without giving proper respect to the classics, that's why we talk to Mr. Intellivision himself, Keith Robinson and the Blue Sky Rangers about laying the ground work in the gaming industry. It's everything you ever wanted to know about Intellivision and so much more on this installment of All Games Interactive, and its just one click away.

Thursday, May 11th

  • Orange Lounge Radio - Continuing live coverage of the E3 expo taped live at the E3 Outpost. More "interesting" observations from the show floor from our hosts, as well as live calls. Real honest reports from the show floor from real gamers.
  • GamerAndy Live - Episode 4 of our e3 podcast coverage is up and running -- just in case you missed the broadcast on Allgames network. It's the last night broadcasting from the The E3 Outpost at the Arena Lounge in Los Angeles, and we kind of let it all hang out even more than usual, if that's at all possible. This episode also features a live guest, Bill Anderson from Novint Technologies, who fills us in on one of the coolest things we've seen at e3 so far. We also discuss many more titles we've delved into in the last 24 hours, plus we get into in-depth commentary on our impressions after spending quaility hands-on time with the Wii.

Friday, May 12th

  • The Bobby Blackwolf Show - We broadcasted live from the E3 Outpost (Arena Interactive Lounge)in West Los Angeles on Day 3 of E3 with several affiliates of All Games Radio. We are joined throughout the broadcast by Wilcox and George from GamerAndy Live, Loki, DarkSakura, and Skie from Orange Lounge Radio, Lawrence Young, Scot Rubin, and Redmond Carolipio from All Games Interactive, and a surprise appearance by Alon from Chatterbox Video Game Radio and his pimped out ride. We go through categories suggested by Allgames.com forum members such as Best game using a non-traditional controller, Game RPGesus would most likely buy, and Best Final Fantasy XII game. The show is raw and unedited (a first!) and concludes with the announcement of why Friday was a special day not just because it was the last day of E3...
  • Orange Lounge Radio - Our E3 coverage live from the E3 Outpost wraps up with our Friday edition. On this edition, Dark Sakura, skie & LOKI are joined by Scot Rubin (former host of G4TV.COM now with allgames.com), along with Bobby Blackwolf and Lawrence Young of the allgames.com family. We discuss the best games and the best booths of the show, and give your our honest assessment of the worst games and booths of the show. With chatroom interaction and the live environment, Orange Lounge Radio brings you real reactions at E3 from real video gamers.
  • All Games Interactive - It is an episode of All Games Interactive so big we had to take a day off just to bring it to you! This installment of AGI is the E3 wrap-up show to end all E3 wrap-up shows. The show is so packed full with observations, speculations, and special guest it can barely be contained by a mere audio file. Scot Rubin helms this monster of a show where we do everything from give you the latest on Xbox 360, PS3, and The Wii to sing happy birthday for Mr. Bobby Blackwolf. We talk about the games that impressed us and those that left us wishing we had spent the time in the Wii line; including Madden 07, Gears of War, Superman Returns The Game, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, Super Mario Galaxy, Legend of Zelda, and many, many more. There are tons of guest on this edition of All Games Interactive. Writer and director Michael Highland gives us his take on the PS3; Alon of the Chatterbox Video Game Show tells us what he thought of his time with the Wii; and AGI listener L33T_M4CH1N3 tells us about the daring do that allowed him to get into E3. And as if all the great news, inside info, and personalities of E3 weren't enough we have a special treat for our loyal All Games listeners: The return of The Gringo!!!! All Games Interactive is literally busting at the seams and it's just one click away.

Intellivision Party re-cap from the LA Report

e3 2006 Review: INTELLIVISION Retropia Party at ARENA Interactive Lounge

by Don Rose

Intellivision decided to throw a fun Retropia party to celebrate the e3 expo, and since I always like retro themed events, I had to pop in. The party took place fairly far from the Convention Center (e3 epicenter), but that was for good reason -- they wanted to have the bash at the very funnest new game place in West L.A., the Arena Interactive Lounge.

As a DJ spun tunes, gamers enjoyed classic Intellivision games as well as the other modern games Arena features in its innovative space -- for example, Guitar Hero, which proved popular with some of the attendees. Arena is definitely a fun place to hang, if you and your pals love playing games in a fun, relaxing environment. The two-story space is located upstairs at the corner of Santa Monica Blvd and Butler (across the street from a classic LA landmark of sorts, the recording studio with no sign known as The Village).

The Intellivision party certainly won the longest time range award -- "3pm to 2am" -- and featured excellent food from a nearby eatery (another LA classic: Cafe 50's). One of the coolest touches at the party was the video display, which displayed classic TV commercials for Intellivision in its 80's heyday, featuring at least two ads starring pitchman George Plimpton (one had George talking with "ET" star Henry Thomas). As the party came to a close, I even spotted a classic SCTV futuristic sketch onscreen. I wish all parties could have such cool video going in the background since, to me, this kinda stuff is like icing on the cake of a good soiree.

Got Bit? 8 bit weapon to perform at E3 Outpost

8 bit weapon will delight the ears and eyes at Retrotopia on Wednesday May 10th.

8 Bit Weapon is the brainchild of Seth Sternberger and has performed across two continents with an arsenal of 8 bit weapons, which include a Commodore 64 and 128, a couple of Nintendo Gameboy classics, an Intellivision synthesizer, hybrid lo-fi acoustic-electric drums, and an assortment of other vintage and toy synthesizers.

Inspired by classic videogame soundtracks and electronic music from the 70s and 80s, 8 Bit Weapon delivers a sound that is as unique as it is original. Clever melodies, nostalgic atmosphere, and energetic beats create a decidedly modern sound while maintaining a fun, lo-tech aesthetic.

Intellivision LIVES at the E3 Outpost

runningman.gif
If you grew up in the 80's you remember the Intellivision game console, the iconic "running man" logo, the George Plimpton commercials, and of course the unique controller with the number bubbles and circular disc.

Intellivision was the first 16-bit videogame system. With realistic graphics and challenging games, Intellivision quickly earned millions of loyal fans. Thanks to the support of those fans, Intellivision was the only videogame system to survive the 1983 industry crash. Consoles and new games were made until 1990, well into the Nintendo era.

Today, Intellivision is the only retrogaming company run by the developers who were there at the beginning: The Blue Sky Rangers.

On Wednesday May 10th Intellivision Presents Retrotopia at the E3 Outpost.
This nostalgic trip back to the future of Intellivision will feature old and new Intellivision games, musical performances, the Astrosmash Cocktail, musical performances, contests, food, and lots of surprises.

This is a private party but you can win tickets! Watch this space in the coming days for details.

High Score to be screened at E3 Outpost

highscore.jpg

Although technology continues to evolve, a group of die-hard gamers refuses to abandon the classic arcade games of yesteryear. The 80's live on for these enthusiasts, who compete against each other and history to record the world's highest scores. Portland gamer Bill Carlton is one of the most brazen, fearlessly taking on some of the toughest records on the books.

HIGH SCORE follows Bill as he attempts to take down the Atari classic Missle Command and its twenty year-old record. To get the 80 million points he'll have to play the game on one quarter for over two days straight. There is no pause button. There will be no sleep. There can be only one victor in this classic story of Man versus Missle Command.
